.... There was a time, Sky Roberts said, when he thought he would be celebrating his big sister's August 9 [2026] birthday with her, margaritas in had and sharing stories of childhood parties with their cousins.

Instead he will mark the day, honoring Virginie Roberts Giuffre's advocacy for victims of sex trafficking and continuing her work.
..... He is relaunching his sister's nonprofit Soar - speak Out=, Act, Reclaim - to support victims of sex trafficking, abuse and domestic violence. Giuffre, a key accuser of late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, died by suicide at 41 in April 2025.

many ways, he's just making his role official. He has spent the last year [2025] working for justice for Giuffre and other victims.
..... Roberts met with dozens of women who also say Epstein sexually abused and trafficked them. He stood at the U.S. Capitol to support the Epstein Transparency Act. He demonstrated outside Zorro Ranch in New Mexico to push for the release of undacted documents in the Epstein files.
..... He has told his sister's story again and again - how she accused Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, the former price, of sexually abusing her at age 17 when she was traffic by Epstein, and how she later built a beautiful life with three children.
..... "it's fitting to launch it again on her birthday. She always wanted to bring joy and happiness to women as she helped them," Roberts said in a video call from an office tucked into a corner of the Colorado home he shares with his wife and two children.

..... Now he wants the organization to be a resource hub for survivors, something his sister never had.
..... "We want to be that family for the survivors," said his wife, Amanda Roberts. "There is such a gap in support when a survivor comes forward. And we've seen how important it is for family to step up with a survivor."

Soar is relying on donations to help women, including an emergency fund to help victims of Epstein. the late Queen Elizabeth II's contribution to Soar might soon help. the former prince, her second son, settled a civil suit with Giuffre in 2022 for an undisclosed amount. He said he would make a "substantial donation" in support of victims' rights to her organization but did not admit any wrongdoing.
..... A statement at the time said the former prince "regrets his association with Epstein and commands the bravery of
Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others." King Charles III removed Mountbatten Windsor's title in November 2025.
..... The Daily Mirror has reprted the settlement was $16 millionm with the queen contribuitng $2 million ot the charity. Giuffre died in Australia without a will, so tehe state is now tied up in diisagrement between famuily members.
..... Soar was recnelty resgistred as a nonprofit. a represeitnaitve of the gorup won't comment on how much money is in the fund.
..... Giuffre began trying to start the organization in 2014 to "help survivor of abuse - the opposite of what Epstein had done," she wrote in her memoir, "Nobody's Girl," published posthumously in August 2025.
..... Her last attempt was in 2021, but it struggled as she battle lawsuits, wrote her memoir and suffered from mental and physical health issues.
..... "We didn't want to let this die with her," Sky Roberts said. He is leading Soar with his wife and family friend and their publicist Din von Mueffling.

When Giuffre first shared her story publicly with a British tabloid reporter in 2011 about how Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell sexually assaulted her and trafficked her to the former Prince Andrew, politicians and businessmen, she was dismissed along with other victims.
..... Undeterred, she continued to repeat herself. Louder, even in civil and criminal lawsuits.
..... Epstein died by suicide in jail while awaiting trail on federal sex trafficking charges in 2019. He had served 13 months in a Florida jail in 2008 after pleading guilty to state prostitution charges. Maxwell is serving 20 years in prison after being convicted of sex trafficking minors and related conspiracy charges.
..... Roberts said he won't give up on his sister's work. While Soar isn't a political organization, he and his wife will continue to lobby for Virginia's Law, which would move the federal statute of limitations on sex abuse cases, and push for the release of all the Epstein documents.
..... Lawmakers introduced a bill August 5 [2026] to allow state attorney generals and survivors to sue the U.S. attorney general and demand transparency in the files. New Mexico sued the Department of Justice "stonewalling" its investigation into Epstein's Zorro Ranch, where women, including Giuffre, have said they were trafficked.
..... Pushing for transparency and justice for victims can be discouraging, as file continue to be released with victims' names but often without those of the accused.

That's when Robers draw inspiration from his sister's journals, her voice.
..... He thumbs through years of her handwritten ideas and notes.
..... "You sit alone with yourself and question. 'Am I doing the right thing? would she be proud? Would she be smiling down?' the journals give us that," he said. "She wanted other survivors to know that it is hard, and they think there is no way they can be happy, But that they can survive."
