December 16, 2021 - Dear Parents and Guardians: Our school system is responding to a nationwide generalized threat about potential school shootings on Friday, December 17th. We know that a school shooting video has been circulated on Tik-Tok and other platforms. It is likely that this information will continue to spread throughout the evening. There is no direct connection to the Wayne Township Public Schools and there is no specific, credible information. As a precaution, we discussed the matter with the Wayne Police Department. We will have an increased police presence at all of our schools tomorrow, December 17th.

Letter from the Superintendent - December 20, 2021
December 20, 2021 - Dear Parents and Guardians: I am happy to inform you that the District is able to revert to the quarantine standard that we have been following all year. The recent change to a fourteen-day quarantine resulted from the New Jersey Department of Health initiating changes when our region was classified as high risk for COVID. Subsequent changes from the New Jersey Department of Health made it possible to revert to a ten-day quarantine. A number of students and classes were quarantined under the fourteen-day standard and we have since notified parents that their children may return within the ten-day quarantine standard.
