Nearly 5 million pounds of chicken under recall
..... Hormel Foods Corporation is recalling frozen ready-to-eat chicken products after they may been contaminated with pieces of metal.

On October 25, [2025] Hormel recalled around 4.9 million pounds of chicken, according to a recall notice posted to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, or FSIS, website. The poultry was distributed nationwide to HRI Commercial Food Service locations from February to September. [2025]
..... The FSIS is concerned the product could be sitting in the freezes of commerical food establishments.
