Passaic County college's new fitness center is free and open to county

..... Passaic County Community College in Paterson officially unveiled a free fitness center as part of a multi-agency partnership designed to improve the health of local residents.
..... The college cut the ribbon October 16 [2025] on the Fitness Court, located in the courtyard on college Boulevard. The facility is open to any county resident age 14 and older and features a variety of workouts for all ages and fitness levels.

"Unless PCCC students and local residents maintain good physical, mental, and emotional health, they are unable to achieve their educational and career goals and lead fulfilling lives," President Steven M. Rose said. "The outdoor Fitness Court is a strategic investment that will benefit all Passaic County residents for many years to come."
..... The court is the result of the college's collaboration with Horizon Blue Cross blue Shield of New Jersey and the National Fitness Campaign to expand access to proper workouts and exercise equipment throughout the region.
..... the area includes seen stations where participants use their own body weight to facilitate their workouts. They can also download the free Fitness Court app, billed as a "coach in your pocket" that promotes wellness and offers teaching from an assortment of featured trainers.
