Secretary touts group as leaders, innovators in transportation

..... Of the 12 men appointed to an advisory committee to the U.S. Department of Transportation earlier this month, [07/2025] at least four have New Jersey ties.

"We're bring 12 business leaders, industry experts and innovators together with decades of experience in the field who will provide invaluable insight to deliver results for the American people," U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, who also lives in the Garden State, said of the appointees.
..... "This team will be essential to executing President Donald Trump's bold agenda to build big, beautiful things again, and I could not be more excited for what is to come."
..... Here is an overview of some of the committee's members:
* Gregg Reuben is the CEO of Centerpark, a new York-based parking management and real estate investment firm. He is also the husband of Alina Habba,, Trump's former personal lawyer whom the president appointed the acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey and whose 120-day interim term ends July 22; [2025] she and Reuben live in Bernardsville.
* Todd Ehmann is a senior international captain for United Airlines, the flagship tenant of Newark Liberty Internationality Airport. he has lived in Far Hills and was the director and treasurer of the New Jersey Aviation Association.

Francis Sacr is a principal at Lorne Infrastructure LLC. He previously led the Gateway Development Commission in an interim capacity before Kris Kolluri was hired in 2022. the GDC is the bistate agency that was created to oversee a $16 billion program to build a new two-track rail tunnel under the Hudson River and repair the current one, which is over a century old and starting to fail.

Mark Tedesco is the executive vice president of Hoboken-based Academy Bus, the company accused of defrauding NJ Transit out of at least $15 million over more than six years. Academy, one of the biggest private bus companies in the country, is still paying off the $20.5 million settlement. Tedesco's brother, Francis Tedesco, is Academy's CEO
..... The other appointees are Peter Bartek, founder and CEO of FTS Rail; Michael Capasso, CEO of C.A.C. Industries; Stephen M. Dickson, former administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration; David Horner, a partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP; Steven Lefton, the executive chair of Kimley-Horn; Brigham McCown, the chair and founder of Alliance for innovation and Infrastructure; Trent Morse, the deputy assistant to the president and deputy director of presidential personnel for the executive office of the president; and Robert Valentine, senior managing director of Macquarie Group.
