Trump vows to being common sense

..... Hello "revolution of common sense." Goodbye, "American's decline."
..... I have never liked President Donald trump;s manner of speaking, which I usually a theatre-of-pconsciousness sea of platitudes, promises and partisan smear he's often boastful and incoherent, but not Monday. [01/20/2025]
..... On Monday [01/20/2025] he was bold and subdued, ambitious and contemplative.
..... In Trump's inaugural speech, his first as the 47th president of the United States, he painted a picture of America on the rise, one where working-class Americans prosper again, the nation's borders are secure and the woke agenda of the past four years is erased.
..... "Our top priority will be to cerate a nation that is proud, prosperous and free," the new president said.
..... If Trump accomplishes even half of the agenda he addressed in the roughly 30-minute speech Monday, [01/20/2025] it will be a transformation, and bumpy, four years.

Promises of rapid, radical change

..... In his speech, Trump wasted no time criticizing his predecessor's term, saying that "we now have a government that cannot manage a simple crisis," he evoked that hurricane response in North Carolina and the destruction that wildfires have left behind in Los angles.
..... Trump cited other challenges such as the public health system and the education system, which he said teaches kids not to be patriotic.
..... "All of this will change starting today [01/20/2025] bad will change very quickly. trump said. "Our sovereignty will be reclaimed. Our safety will be restored. the scales of justice will be rebalanced."
..... "January 20, 2025, is liberation day," Trump said, without a hint of irony.
..... To stand in the Capitol in the fieest country on earth and claim that Monday [01/20/2025] was "liberation day" was a bold move.
..... Progressives were undoubtedly insulted by that statement, but many of them lack the self-awareness to understanding why millions of their fellow citizens agree with our new president.
..... Four years of now-former President Joe Biden's liberal agenda left many Americans feeling like they were trapped in a progressive nightmare -a toxic blend of political correctness, global instability and runaway inflation that they couldn't escape.
..... At least not without the right leadership and a bevy of policy changes.
..... Trump said he - and his conservative agenda - will liberate Americans form the chains of liberal policies that have crushed their dreams and left them in despair about our nation's future.
..... Trump;s language may be overly dramatic, but 77.3 million Americana voted for him to bring about rapid, even revolutionary change.

Trump says America's 'golden age' has just begun

..... With an unusually seven-keeled tone, Trump promised to fulfill the mandate he says American voters gave him. If he does, it will be a sea change in the government and the country, one that could alter America's direction for decades to come.
..... "My recent election is a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal" Trump said, referring to Biden administration policies. He said he would "give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy and, indeed, their freedom."
..... Trump said his agenda will be a "revolution of common sense." He then announced radical changes at the U.S. border with Mexico, with the nation's fight against drug trafficking and in energy policy )"drill, baby drill").
..... Trump said he will declare a national emergency at our southern border, reinstate the "remain in Mexico" policy, end the practice of "catch and release," send troops to the border to "repel the disastrous invasion of our country" and designate drug cartels as terrorists.
..... Trump also said that he will declare a national energy emergency: "We will be a rich nation again, and it is that liquid gold under our feet that will help to do it."
..... As a Texan, I couldn't agree more.
..... Trump declared that the nation would be "colorblind and merit-based" and would recognize only two genders, male and female. I applaud those moves, but they will enrage liberals.
..... Liberals, the media and some conservatives will issue an array of smears in reaction to Trump's speech. they'll say it was too railcard and too vague, too angry and too simplistic.
..... It was, most of all, too Trumpian, critics will say.
.... But it was precisely what most voters, exercising their democratic right (that progressives claim they value), want to hear.
..... And where were those critics when Biden's physical and mental fitness declined, when he broke promises and when he pardoned his own family on his way out the door? They remained silent then, but they will be the first to condemn Trump now.
..... Trump plans radical changes for America - in our society, our economy and our government. Now, he must follow through and do it.
..... Let's see if he can
