WANYE - Residents would no longer be allowed to rent their homes for less than a month under a proposed for less short-term leases.

Some renters are turning weekend gateways into "nightmare" parties that disturb quiet neighborhoods, and official said they want an ordinance on the books to eliminate the unruly behavior before the summer months begins

There have been multiple cases in which party guests overindulged themselves said Mayor Christopher Vergano.

"Alcohol is usually involved," he added.
..... One such incident arose in the Pines Lakes neighborhood, where Councilman Jonathan Ettman said his constituents were teed off by a tour bus parked on sequoia Place and the festivities that followed.

..... Penalties compound daily, so that a person who does not remedy a violation after a week could incur $3,500 in charges, plus possible court appearances and eviction proceedings.
